Pre-Proposal Development

Pre-Proposal Development is the genesis of the proposal submission process. It begins with an idea or a question. It could come from the pilot data of a single PI or from the creative and innovative collaboration of a research team. This is the first stage in getting a project funded. Once the PI or team of Investigators develop a more definitive research plan, contact the OSP for more information on the next step in the process. At a minimum, you will need information on possible funding sources and institutional resources to support you as you build your proposal.
