Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy – National grants for cell and gene therapy cancer research.

Alzheimer’s Association – The leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care and support.

American Academy of Otolaryngology – The world’s largest organization representing specialists who treat the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck.

American Cancer Society – Dedicated to helping persons who face cancer. Supports research, patient services, early detection, treatment and education.

American Heart Association – Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

American Lung Association – The leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through Education, Advocacy and Research.

Arthritis Foundation - A voluntary health agency covering all arthritis and related conditions.

Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation – The Prevent Cancer Foundation advocates and supports the prevention and early detection of cancer through Research, Education, Advocacy and Community Outreach.

Concern Foundation - Concern Foundation is an independent, volunteer driven non-profit organization dedicated to raising and granting funds to support cancer research world wide.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Seeking the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

Department of Defense

Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs: The Principal Investigator registers on the website. The Principal Investigator/Departmental Administrator enters the required information. The Principal Investigator/Departmental Administrators also uploads the proposal files and indicates when the information and files are final and thus ready for the Contract Representative (namely, the authorized institutional official or a Grants and Contracts Officer acting on the authorized official’s behalf) to review. A contracting officer or other official acting on behalf of the authorized institution official must review and approve the proposal submission before the Department of Defense can accept or review the proposal.

Department of Education

G5: Personnel in Sponsored Programs offices should serve as the Application Manager. Therefore, the Grants and Contracts Officer must be the first person to register and create an application. The Application Manager/Grants and Contracts Officer submits the application on behalf of the authorized institutional official. Please notify the contracting officer with the specific Application Package Title and CFDA # of the program to which you wish to apply.

Department of Education Institute of Education Sciences

Application Website: The Project Director registers on the website. The Project Director/Departmental Administrator enters the required information and uploads the pdf file. After the Project Director validates that his application is ready for submission, the authorized institutional official completes the submission process.

Department of Energy (DOE)

The e-Center provides access to the Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS). Only the authorized institutional official needs to register. The Principal Investigator/Departmental Administrator supplies the required proposal files to the Office of Sponsored Programs along with the DOE solicitation. The DOE solicitation specifies the number of required files and the order in which the files should be uploaded. The OSP must upload and submit the files.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International

JDRF is a leader in setting the agenda for diabetes research worldwide, and is the largest charitable funder of and advocate for type 1 diabetes research. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.


The NASA SYS-EYFUS is an electronic system (SYS -) used by NASA Headquarters to manage research solicitation activity, plan for the receipt of research proposals, track the receipt and peer evaluation of these proposals, and manage funded research (grants, cooperative agreements, etc.) sponsored by NASA. (It is not an electronic proposal system).

National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAR)

NAAR Grants Administration System: The Principal Investigator creates an account. Once the account is created, NAAR sends an email indicating that the Principal Investigator may login and submit a letter of intent. If NAAR invites Principal Investigator to submit a formal proposal, the Principal Investigator enters the required information and uploads the necessary files. NAAR requires the responsible official (the authorized institutional official) to endorse the proposal and/or approve the budget online before the Principal Investigator submits the proposal.

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

NIH eRA Commons: Principal Investigators can use to obtain proposal status, submit reports, enter Just In Time information. This system is not used for proposal submission.

National Science Foundation (NSF)

FastLane is an interactive real-time system used to conduct NSF business over the Internet. The Principal Investigator/Departmental Administrator prepares proposal. Office of Sponsored Programs reviews and submits proposal. The Office of Sponsored Programs can register the PI in the FastLane system.

Space Telescope Science Institute

Space Telescope Grants Management System (STGMS) is a site with instructions for downloading and installing the STGMS application. For submissions, have your Departmental Administrator contact the appropriate Grants Specialist in the OSP. The Principal Investigator/Departmental Administrator prepares proposal. OSP then reviews and submits proposal.
