The following guidance has been established regarding Allocation of Credit pertaining to

interdepartmental collaboration on external funding research projects:

When faculty from different departments serve as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal

Investigator, or Co-Investigator on the same project, credit is to be distributed between those

faculty members based on the decisions of their mutual Department Heads/Chairs prior to the

submission of a Cayuse proposal for routing.

This Allocation of Credit is reflected in the Personnel section of the Cayuse proposal, and once

the individual Department Head(s)/Chair(s) have agreed upon how the credit (and thereby how

much of the award is divided between collaborating departments) is to be distributed, the amount

of credit allocated must total to 100%.
