2018 Limited Submission funding from the UNC-System Office

Research Opportunities Initiative (ROI) Program
and
Inter-institutional Planning Grant (IPG) Program

The UNC System Office has opened up two limited submission funding opportunities for 2018, the Research Opportunities Initiative (ROI) and Inter-institutional Planning Grant (IPG). UNCG can send up to 4 pre-proposals in each category, for a total of 8 pre-proposals.

Internal timeline at UNCG:

• February 23, 2018: Solicitation release
• March 2, 10:00AM: Q&A teleconference call 701-801-1230, access code 600444
• March 5, 12:00PM – internal intent to apply deadline
  • email aubrey.turner@uncg.edu and indicate PI name and category/stage
  • If we receive “intent to apply” from >4 in a category, then internal review:
    • March 13, 5:00PM – internal 2 page pre-proposal
    • March 16, notification of proposals selected to represent UNCG
• March 23, 2018: Pre-proposals due to UNC-System Office
• April 20, 2018: Pre-proposal decision back from UNC-System Office
• May 18, 2018: Full proposals due to UNC-System Office (if invited)
• August 1, 2018: Earliest funding start
